The Raiders have benched Derek Carr and moved on to Jaret Stidham. Stidham’s first start as a Raider comes against the number one defense in the NFL. This game is going to be ugly and in hand for San Francisco most of the way. The Raiders defense is terrible, and SF will have no issue scoring early and often. The 49ers have already won the NFC west and are just playing for seeding at this point. What’s more important than that is the health of Christian McCaffrey. He’s dealt with knee soreness and load management issues since coming over to SF and they took it easy on him last week giving him 17 touches. Down to their 3rd string QB he’s just too valuable of a piece to lose and these aren’t overly important football games. They’ll keep him around 15 touches and if they pull ahead don’t expect to see him play at all. Just a light workload in a rout over an outmatched Raiders team.
