Toronto Raptors +2. The Raptors are 2-2 but they’re playing well against good competition to open the season. They beat the Cavs at home 108-105 in their opener before dropping a pair of tight road games, 105-109 @ BKN and 109-112 @ MIA. They did take the 2nd game at Miami by a score of 98-90 for their 2nd win. Star forward Pascal Siakam is building on his impressive 2021-22 campaign, averaging more Points, Rebounds, Assists, Steals, & Blocks per game compared to last year. And he’s been a major issue for Philly, in his last 3 regular season games vs PHI he’s averaging 30.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 8.3 assists. He’s at the top of his game and it’s not like Philly brought anyone in that can stop him. The 76ers have also struggled to open the season. They’re just 1-3 and found a way to lose to the San Antonio Spurs at home 105-114. They did just get their first win against the Indiana Pacers but that doesn’t say a whole lot. Defensively they rank just 21st in defensive efficiency and 28th in rebounding percentage. Plain lack of effort, which spells trouble against a Raptors team built on playing hard. Philly’s bench has also been terrible, ranking dead last at 17.5 points per game. Back the stronger Home team, Toronto is 15-6 ATS the last 21 meetings vs PHI at home and 5-2 ATS L7 Overall. Philly meanwhile is just 1-5 ATS L6 overall, 3-14 ATS their L17 road games, and 1-4 ATS L5 games following a straight up Win.
