Mike Trout didn’t record a hit in 5 trips to the plate yesterday. That hasn’t happened too often in his decorated big-league career. Rarely does it happen in back-to-back games. Despite that he’s still hitting .344 and slugging .625 in his last 7 games. He’s gone over 1.5 bases in 7 of his last 11 games. OAK SP JP Sears has been hit hard this year. His BRLS/PA is at 11.5 and he’s allowed 6 homeruns in 4 starts and 21.2 IP. Oakland also has the worst bullpen in baseball whenever he comes out of the game.

Polanco’s starting his 2023 campaign red hot. He was on the IL to start the year and returned to the bigs on April 21st. He’s 9 for 22 with 16 total bases in just 5 games. He’s gone over 1.5 bases in each of his last 4 games too. KC SP Zach Greinke has really struggled on the road the past couple years. Pitching to a 5.32 road ERA in 2022 and he’s currently rocking a 6.3 road ERA in 2023. Polanco’s 2 for 6 lifetime vs Greinke. Twins tagged Greinke for 20 Hits and 4 Homeruns across 3 starts and 14 IP at Minnesota in 2022. The Royals’ bullpen ranks 29th too if Greinke comes out of this game early.
