4 Picks.
7:20PM: Reds ML +130 (4 Units).
Reds SP Hunter Greene is 3-1 with a 2.53 ERA through 8 road starts this season. He's allowed 2ER or less in all but one of them. Reynaldo Lopez starts for Atlanta and he's as good as it comes. He labored in his most recent start allowing 11 hits over 6 innings. Concerns of an innings limit are creeping in for him. He hasn't thrown more than 66 innings in an entire season dating back to 2019 and he's at 95 just over halfway through. He doesn't pitch deep and it's the reason he isn't currently a qualified pitcher and ERA leader. This is about Greene's ability to match him. The Reds offense ranks 6th in OPS in July while Atlanta's in the bottom half.
7:40PM: Twins ML -105 (2 Units).
PHI SP Ranger Suarez has labored, allowing 4 runs or more in 4 consecutive starts. He's someone likely to benefit from the break but he's out of form with a bad matchup. Minnesota ranks 2nd in OPS vs LHP this season and their bats came alive scoring 7 runs yesterday. MIN SP Bailey Ober has allowed 2ER or less in all but 1 Home start this season. He also has a 3.14 ERA over his last 7 starts. Philly has also lost each of their last 2 series.
8:10PM: AZ/KC Under 8.5 (3 Units).
AZ SP Yilber Diaz has allowed 1 run on 4 hits in each of his first 2 big league starts. Neither Atlanta nor Toronto could catch up to the young flamethrower’s heater. Arizona's top relievers are available after they were forced to take a day off yesterday. KC SP Cole Ragans is one of the best in baseball. He has a 3.16 ERA and a 3.49 ERA at Home. More than half his ER's allowed at Home came in just 2 of his 11 starts. Nobody is immune to off days, but he's usually lights out at Home. Their bullpen's also in phenomenal shape after beating up on the White Sox.
8:40PM: Rockies ML +145 (4 Units).
BOS SP Tanner Houck is having a career year, but he hasn't been as sharp of late. He posted a 4.85 ERA in the Month of June. His 2nd July Start was a good one but his first saw him allow 3 runs over 3.1 IP in New York. He's also never pitched at Coors Field before and it's the toughest pitching venue in baseball. Boston's also without closer Kenley Jansen as he hasn't traveled to Colorado because of health complications when previously visiting the thin Denver Air.
COL SP Austin Gomber was having a career year himself before it was derailed by a brief IL stint. He really struggled in the Month of June but he's returning to form. He has a 4.5 ERA in 3 July starts but 2 of those came at Home and another in Cinci, another hitter friendly park. He's walked just 1 batter in all 3 starts combined. He's in control and the break offers him a chance to heal up some more. Boston's also considerably worse against Lefties. They have a .767 OPS vs Righties but that falls to .706 against Lefties. The entire Colorado Bullpen is available.
