This Raiders offense is one of the worst in the NFL. They rank 30th scoring 16 points per game and 28th with 284.1 yards per game. They match-up very poorly against Detroit. They're dead last averaging 68.6 rushing yards per game. Josh Jacobs is having a miserable season, averaging just 2.9 yards per carry. The Lions boast one of the best rush defenses in the NFL holding teams to just 76.3 rushing yards per game (2nd). The Raiders will stick to the ground game anyway, milking the clock for us. Despite the terrible season, Jacobs still averages 16.9 carries per game. They'll be in plenty of 3rd and longs and only convert on 35% of third downs (25th).
The Raiders defense has played admirably this season. They struggled against Buffalo in week 2 but have been solid most of the way. Last weeks game against Chicago was a bit of a wash, Brian Hoyer was their starting QB before being pulled for O'Connell, they threw a combined 3 interceptions, including a pick 6. Their defense has allowed more than 24 points just once this season. They do struggle against the run, allowing 129 rushing yards per game (25th). Detroit loves to run the football and will keep that clock rolling, especially if they're holding a lead.
