Contrarian play tonight. The average Joe and every Talk Show is all over Houston and how this line makes no sense. As bad as the Jets 2-6 record looks, they've been right there against some very good Football teams. Handful of plays away from not just a better record but a good one. Their Kicker who was just placed on the IR is also responsible for at least 3 losses. The last time the Jets played at Home they lost a heartbreaker to Buffalo courtesy of a Greg Zuerlein miss. The Jets really aren't out if it just yet either. 10-7 probably catches a wildcard and 3 of their next 4 games are at Home. The outlier is a winnable away game at Arizona. Just to point out they'll show up and compete as a team tonight. This is also atypical New York Jets Football. They suck just enough but not too much to the point they can escape mediocrity by drafting the top QB.
Houston's also limping into this game without their top 2 wide receivers and starting LG. The Jets secondary still grades out as one of the NFL's best despite the slew of injuries. Their starting CB trio is healthy for this one though. The Texans offense really struggled after Diggs went down with an injury in the 3rd quarter against the Colts on Sunday. On the short week here they really don't get much time to adjust, and they had just adjusted to life without Collins. The last time Houston went on the road Stroud completed just 10 of 21 passes for 86 yards at Green Bay. That's a good but not great pass defense.
