Indiana struggled in it's big test going into Ohio State but that game just got away from them. Ohio State has the best passing defense in football and Indiana was forced to throw on it. Just not going to work. And despite allowing 38 points the Hoosiers defense played pretty well, allowing just 316 yards. Short Fields and Special Teams blunders is what led to an inflated score. With Cignetti running things we expect more complimentary football in another tough road spot here. They also match-up better against a run first Notre Dame team. The Irish rank 2nd averaging 6.3 YPC but Indiana's 2nd allowing just 2.6 YPC. Ohio State ran for 115 yards (4.0 YPC) with a long of 39 on this Indiana defense. Notre Dame's also one of the best defensive teams in football but they really haven't played anyone. USC put up 557 yards of total offense on them in their final game of the season.
