Most don't realize this is another home game for St. John's. They've played 8 Home games at MSG this year and that isn't some new thing. MSG is right near the heart of their fan base, and they'll turn out. St. John's offense can struggle at times and is only 66th in offensive rating but Butler's 146th in defensive rating. St. John's is also 3rd in defensive rating while Butler's 42nd in offensive rating. St. John's is 7th in opponent turnovers per game while Butler's 107th in turnovers per game. St. John's defense is going to lead to plenty of easy baskets going the other way. Physicality and Intensity only picks up in Tournament play and that's exactly what St. John's brings to the table. They obviously have National Championship hopes but the Big East Tournament is still a big deal. They won the Big East regular season title for the first time in program history since the early 90's and now have a chance to win the Tournament for the first time since 2000. They'll come out ready to play with a sense of purpose off the tip.

Another slow paced Big East showdown. UConn is 331st in Pace and Nova's 354th. There was actually some good shooting and plenty of Free Throws in last night's win and that game still managed to go Under. Going to be a pretty mixed crowd in terms of fans here so the defensive energy is there. Villanova's a perimeter shooting team playing on a back-to-back. Tired legs show up on jump shots, not at the rim. Like Nova, UConn's also had some offensive struggles on the road. Like last night, just don't see enough possessions to drive this over the total. Never hurts to see the public hammering away on the Over and the line dropping either.
