1 Pick (3 Units).
8PM EST: UCONN -3.5 (3 Units).
The back-to-back National Champs haven't been as dominant as the last two years but a lot of that has to do with new faces. They've also been without Freshman phenom Liam McNeeley since January 1st. His elite scoring ability is only going to improve one of the best offenses in the Country. His length and rebounding are also needed on the defensive end of the floor. UConn's 10th in offensive rating but just 118th in defensive rating. That's very uncharacteristic for a Dan Hurley squad. Their biggest issue has been defending the 3-PT Line. McNeeley helps there but St. John's just isn't the team to exploit that. St. John's has fallen to 74th in offensive rating and 339th in 3-PT %. Hurley's going to almost dare St. John's to shoot 3's and they're going to have to make them if they want to win. UConn still defends the rim well, ranking 20th in opponent 2-PT FG%. Love this spot at Home for the Huskies hosting the #1 ranked team in the Big East. UConn's run the Big East the last couple years and this is the perfect time to remind everyone. They just picked up a massive road win over Marquette and a win here puts the league on notice.
