8PM: Houston -15.5 (3 Units).
Going to be very difficult for West Virginia to find consistent points. They're ranked 40th overall, 76th in offensive rating, and 21st in defensive rating. Houston's ranked 3rd, 13th, and 1st. Houston's also first in points allowed per game at Home. WVU is 252nd in FG% and 140th in 3-PT %. WVU struggles to get to the rim, which is why they're 29th in 3-PT rate. Houston's 316th in opponent 3-PT Rate but they're 24th in opponent 3-PT %. They're also first in opponent 2-PT %. They don't let you get to the rim and don't give up clean looks from the outside. Houston's also the 2nd best 3-PT shooting team in the nation but they're only 271st in 3-PT Rate. WVU defends the 3-PT Line well but it's not a big issue here. West Virginia's offensive SOS only ranks 82nd and they have yet to play a truly elite offense on the road. It's a big number to lay against a somewhat decent WVU team but this is a bad spot for the Mountaineers.
