The Public's hammering the Under because there's no Joe Burrow, but neither defense is playing great. The Bengals held an awful Steelers offense to 10 points last time out but gave up 34 to Baltimore and 30 to Houston the weeks prior. Jacksonville's offense is as potent as any in the NFL. Going back, they've scored 24, 30, 3 vs SF, 20 IN Pittsburgh, 31, 37, 25. They flopped against the best team in the League, it happens. CIN is without starting CB Cam-Taylor Britt as he got hurt in practice. He leads the Bengals with 10 pass deflections and 4 interceptions. The Bengals are the 21st ranked scoring defense as it is and it's only going to get tougher without Joe Burrow. They were on the field for over 37 minutes last week, PIT just isn't any good.
Jacksonville's defense isn't bad they just aren't shutdown great. Going back, they've allowed 21 to Hou, 14 to TEN, 34 to SF, 10 to PIT, 24 to NO, and 20 to IND. TEN and PIT are the 25th and 28th ranked scoring offenses. Obviously CIN is without Joe Burrow but they will be getting Tee Higgins back. QB Jake Browning has also been in the NFL since 2019 and in CIN since 2021. He beat out Trevor Siemian for back-up duty in 2022. He hasn't played bad in relief. Since coming in for Burrow against BAL, he's 27/40 (67.5%) for 295 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT. He also had to play BAL and PIT who rank 1st and 6th in Scoring Defense. That was also without Tee Higgins. He'll get a much friendlier match-up tonight with a ton of weapons to throw the ball too. CIN will be able to score and help drive us Over the low total.
